Excerpts:

“We want to do our part and take responsibility for our impact on the environment, and that's why we're part of this wave of consciousness in the music world.”
— Nederland, Colorado Mountain Music - April 2008

“"We're trying to use our platform," said Dugas.
"To inspire," Elizabeth added. "Not to preach, but to have people go away feeling positive, and go away taking part in something."
The band has started recycling on the road, as well as buying local, organic food whenever possible. They're buying a new van in January that runs on biodiesel fuel, and they've teamed with Manitoba Harvest, a Winnipeg-based hemp food manufacturer, in an effort to promote hemp food products.”

“What's meaningful to the Duhks is doing their part to protect the environment. They've teamed up with radio station Indie 103 and key members of environmental organizations like the Natural Resources Defense Council and Heal the Bay to discuss how individuals and the greater community can support environmental sustainability. This press conference is taking place at the legendary Cherokee Studios on Fairfax, following a four-song recording session with the legendary Bruce Robb, who has engineered albums for Ricky Lee Jones, Art Garfunkel, and Frank Sinatra.”

“The show was a benefit for Greg Ching's home concert productions, which had recently won a victory of sorts with Boulder County, as now house concerts will be allowed on Ching's property. The Duhks, who had played a show for Ching a number of years ago, agreed to come to Ned and play a celebratory concert to help cement the victory. Ching acted as emcee, and the joy in his demeanor was evident as he gushed onstage, thanking the crowd for coming out on a weeknight for an event such as this. There was also a silent auction, and information on sustainability available for all, as Ching has been acting as 'sustainability coordinator' for the Duhks, who have been working hard to go green on their tour.”
— Burt Rashbaum, The Ned Gazette - 03 May 2008

“Todays production will result in four newly-recorded songs as well as a music video, from a band that is attracting attention for both their musicianship and their stance on the environment. The music will air on Indie 103.1, and be given to environmental organizations for their use to gain more attention for their causes. In between takes, the band members engage in conversation on everything from the prospects of touring with biodiesel to bringing their own organic food into restaurants when stuck out on the road.”
— Tiffany Downey, Awareness magazine - March 2007

“Global warming is getting a lot more press lately, but it is a symptom, and not a root cause of our problems.”
— Rock The Earth Notes: January 2007
